About Julie Braun

Julie Braun is a clever cocktail of right brain (creativity and big picture), left brain (knowledge and process),
and a splash of a sassy attitude.

In her corporate career, Julie’s held Creative Director, Executive Vice President, and Chief Marketing Officer positions with super-sized brands like Victoria’s Secret, MTV, Bath and Body Works, Estée Lauder, Nike, and Carter’s Childrenswear.  At Carter’s, in just 18 months, Julie’s team contributed to the company doubling their business from $500 million to over $1 billion, which also led to a public stock offering.

In 2005, Julie started her own consulting firm, Julie Braun Design, bringing over 20 years of experience in marketing, merchandising, branding, sales and promotion, innovation, and retail store design to a variety of clientele from consultants and subject matter experts to small business start-ups to large corporations, including Guerlain and Mattel.

Julie’s experience with interns began early in her career, as she successfully managed teams of interns on projects for all of her employers.  In fact, when other intern supervisors were unable to manage and mentor their interns, Julie took those interns under her wing and gave them amazing projects and experiences.  Several of her best and brightest interns, who credit Julie as being a springboard in their careers, have gone on to become entrepreneurs, Vice Presidents, and corporate CEOs.

When she started Julie Braun Design, Julie did what Julie does best.  She immediately recruited interns to help her grow her business.  Julie’s interns were working directly with clients on high-level projects, serving as integral, contributing members of her team.  Realizing that other businesses and organizations could greatly benefit from her experience, mentorship abilities, and proven systems, Super Interns was born.

Beyond her business pursuits, Julie is also very involved in the Greater New Haven community.  She has spent many years on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut, served as an active member of the Recycling Masters, lent a hand on local political campaigns, and volunteered at the children’s reading room in her neighborhood.

Julie’s supershero powers are a keen sense of smell and a powerful ring that can shoot a beacon into the sky and summon an army of Super Interns in a flash.  Julie’s interests include fashion, design, art, reading, listening to music, and cooking up vegetarian creations.  She lives in New Haven, Connecticut, and is mom to Charlie the Wonder Dog, a spunky terrier mix.
