teammate of the month

Every month we like to acknowledge one of our fantastic teammates. This month’s teammate of the month is Michelle Wright, our Fantastic HR Coordinator!

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

“I am a senior undergraduate student from Dallas, TX attending Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I’m a first-generation college student majoring in Human Resource Development with a minor in Business Administration. I love that I have the opportunity to touch people’s lives in the most profound way by getting them started in their dream careers with training. I enjoy being one of the first people that our interns come into contact with here at SuperInterns.com. Getting to know the interns that come in and out of SuperInterns.com has been and continues to be such a privilege.”

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH SUPERINTERNS?

“I’ve been with SuperInterns.com for only a few months. I began working in January 2017.”

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS DO YOU WORK ON?

“As an HR Coordinator, my projects predominantly cover onboarding, training, and protocol reinforcement. When interns first come through our doors, [my team and I] are the first people that interns meet with after being hired. When it comes to training, I help cultivate the intern into the professional they desire to be through professional coaching.”

WHAT SKILLS HAVE YOU GAINED SINCE JOINING SUPERINTERNS?

“I’ve gained more skills than I have ever could have imagined. First and foremost, I’ve learned and am continuing to learn how to manage a team. I’ve learned what being an HR Coordinator entails and what the responsibilities are that come with it. I’ve learned how to create and maintain professional interpersonal relationships. For me, while I’m not an HR Talent Acquisition Specialist (HRTAS) that works directly with recruitment, I do work closely with the HRTAS team. In my role, I assess performance management so my team collaborates with the HRTAS team to determine what jobs need to be filled or the jobs that are soon-to-be vacant from departed or terminated interns. I’ve learned how to create and maintain professional interpersonal relationships. Additionally, I’ve learned how to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals.”
